A Modern In Home Elopement | Mississauga Wedding Photographer

As much as I love shooting real weddings it is always fun to be asked to participate in a creative session to further explore my craft in a relaxed setting, and connect with other vendors. This beautiful modern in home elopement session was dreamed up and brought to life by the lovely Lexi Marie Events. All the vendors involved did a spectacular job and I was blown away by the beauty I was honoured to photograph. This session was recently featured on Dear Bride Blog so feel free to check it out! (https://dearbride.ca/an-at-home-styled-elopement/) To my brides and future brides, allow sessions like this to inspire your wedding day and encourage you to try new things like renting an AirBnB or using a family/friend’s home to host a more intimate wedding. Weddings can be styled anyway you like these days so don’t be afraid to think outside of the box.

Caroline and Rafael | Paletta Mansion | Burlington Engagement Photographer

One of my favourite things about engagement sessions is watching a couple go from nervous and uncomfortable about being in front of the camera to at ease and completely natural. Caroline and Rafael started off their engagement session the same way almost every couple I meet does, by telling me they are not good in front of the camera, they rarely take photos and are feeling a bit nervous. Its funny how when couples express this to me it actually makes me more excited to shoot as it presents me with a challenge to make them feel comfortable and surprise them with how easy and fun the session can be. Feeling nervous about an engagement session is totally normal but I am so grateful for the wonderful couples like Caroline and Rafael who trust me to guide them and help them feel great both in front of the camera and about their final photographs. I really feel this is one of the areas of photography where being a teacher is really helpful. Being able to understand how to direct, guide and prompt while still encouraging and being mindful of the couples body language and expression to gage where to take the session moving forward helps me in creating an overall wonderful experience catered to each unique couple. Caroline and Raf, you two totally rocked your session at Paletta Mansion last week and I can’t wait to see you again, in November!

Jess and JM's Springer Estate Wedding | Burlington Wedding Photographer

Jess and JM were one of the sweetest couples I have worked with and after hearing their friends and family speak at both the ceremony and reception I could see even more so the amazing joy and care they spread in all areas of their lives. This lovely couple was married this past Saturday at the Springer Estate in Burlington. The grounds of the Springer Estate are absolutely beautiful and has a perfect sunset that lights up and warms the whole property. This stunning light mixed with a beautiful and kind couple made for some perfect portraits and a very romantic ceremony. You will notice there are a lot of pictures in this post, but between Jess’ stunning smile, the thought that went into every detail and all the love bursting out of every moment, I could not cut it down any further. Enjoy this beautiful wedding and leave some love for a great couple!
