When one of your friends asks you to photograph their engagement and wedding the job becomes so much more special! Jillian and I met in my first year of university and now work in the same school board. Funny enough when I went on maternity leave this past April Jillian actually took over my class which was really awesome (the kids loved her!). In honour of their wedding this weekend I knew I needed to get their stunning Vineland Estates engagement session up on the blog. This was a perfect evening this past fall for these two. The light was amazing and Justin and Jillian had the cutest smiles and laughter. I cannot wait to get them back in front of my camera this Saturday. Happy wedding week lovebirds!
As much as I love shooting real weddings it is always fun to be asked to participate in a creative session to further explore my craft in a relaxed setting, and connect with other vendors. This beautiful modern in home elopement session was dreamed up and brought to life by the lovely Lexi Marie Events. All the vendors involved did a spectacular job and I was blown away by the beauty I was honoured to photograph. This session was recently featured on Dear Bride Blog so feel free to check it out! (https://dearbride.ca/an-at-home-styled-elopement/) To my brides and future brides, allow sessions like this to inspire your wedding day and encourage you to try new things like renting an AirBnB or using a family/friend’s home to host a more intimate wedding. Weddings can be styled anyway you like these days so don’t be afraid to think outside of the box.

Who says you can’t have a beautiful garden wedding at the end of November? Caroline and Raf’s gorgeous greenhouse wedding at Madsen’s in Newmarket was such a dream to be apart of! The rich colours and stunning details made me go shutter crazy trying to capture everything. Congrats to the lovely couple and if you are hoping to have a spring wedding look in the off season be sure to check Madsen’s out.
