Chelsea and Andrew | Cherry Avenue Farm Wedding | Niagara, Ontario

Chelsea and Andrew’s stunning Cherry Avenue Farm wedding had me gushing all day. Their radiant smiles and endless happy tears showed such a beautiful outward display of their love for one another and thankfulness for the adventure they were about to embark on as husband and wife. I loved their pastel colour palette and simple but absolutely gorgeous reception decor, complete with a unique antique tea cup for each guest to take home. Beyond the decor and details, what I loved most about Chelsea and Andrew’s wedding was the people there. Everyone was immensely excited for the couple and so kind and willing to go above and beyond to ensure the day was perfect! Congratulations Chelsea and Andrew, it was an honour to share in your wedding day.

Dylan and Robyn | Princess Point | Hamilton Engagement Photographer

Wow it feels weird to be writing a blog post again since it has been almost 7 months since I have done so. I have had the pleasure of working with many amazing couples for both their engagement sessions and weddings this past year and I am so excited to finally be sharing some of them with you! With some gloomy, cold days surrounding us I had to start things off with Dylan and Robyn’s beautiful and sunny summer engagement session to bring back some of that summer magic. I love shooting at Princess Point because when we are lucky enough to have a sunny, clear day the light floods in so perfectly and creates a wonderful backdrop to capture some sweet love-filled moments. Dylan and Robyn I cannot wait for your wedding day this July, you two were truly a joy to work with!

Caroline and Rafael | Paletta Mansion | Burlington Engagement Photographer

One of my favourite things about engagement sessions is watching a couple go from nervous and uncomfortable about being in front of the camera to at ease and completely natural. Caroline and Rafael started off their engagement session the same way almost every couple I meet does, by telling me they are not good in front of the camera, they rarely take photos and are feeling a bit nervous. Its funny how when couples express this to me it actually makes me more excited to shoot as it presents me with a challenge to make them feel comfortable and surprise them with how easy and fun the session can be. Feeling nervous about an engagement session is totally normal but I am so grateful for the wonderful couples like Caroline and Rafael who trust me to guide them and help them feel great both in front of the camera and about their final photographs. I really feel this is one of the areas of photography where being a teacher is really helpful. Being able to understand how to direct, guide and prompt while still encouraging and being mindful of the couples body language and expression to gage where to take the session moving forward helps me in creating an overall wonderful experience catered to each unique couple. Caroline and Raf, you two totally rocked your session at Paletta Mansion last week and I can’t wait to see you again, in November!
