Jess and JM were one of the sweetest couples I have worked with and after hearing their friends and family speak at both the ceremony and reception I could see even more so the amazing joy and care they spread in all areas of their lives. This lovely couple was married this past Saturday at the Springer Estate in Burlington. The grounds of the Springer Estate are absolutely beautiful and has a perfect sunset that lights up and warms the whole property. This stunning light mixed with a beautiful and kind couple made for some perfect portraits and a very romantic ceremony. You will notice there are a lot of pictures in this post, but between Jess’ stunning smile, the thought that went into every detail and all the love bursting out of every moment, I could not cut it down any further. Enjoy this beautiful wedding and leave some love for a great couple!
Michelle and Brad had the most joyful backyard wedding on the last very hot weekend of the year. Michelle's parents were so generous in allowing the two to say their vows and throw a great celebration on their property near Orangeville. With a blank canvas to work with, Michelle could design the country wedding of her dreams and that is just what she did. This wedding had so many lovely details and came together perfectly! One of my favourite moments was watching Michelle peak out the window into the yard to see the wedding she had put her heart into come to life. There was one other truly sweet aspect of Brad and Michelle's wedding which was that their marriage was the final touch to the amazing and beautiful family they have created together. Brad and Michelle have three of the cutest children and it filled my heart to watch their oldest daughter share in thsi special day with them. Thank you, Brad and Michelle, for allowing me to share in the exciting and fun day!
The truth is, most couples may never step back in front of a professional photographer after their wedding day. You have your one beautiful wedding portrait hung up in your home and that’s the end of it. But what about all the amazing growth your relationship and family have experienced throughout your years of marriage, isn’t that worth documenting and celebrating? Today I want to share a little bit about anniversary sessions, a way for couples to reconnect and document love after the big day has come and gone and celebrate the lovely life they have created and the full hearts they still have. These sessions have recently become a favourite of mine as they are so joyful and truly illustrate the amazing gift marriage is. The wedding is only the beginning, don’t forget to tell the full story by making time to jump back in front of the camera, just the two of you, to watch your love grow through the years.
To show you just how beautiful anniversary sessions can be here is the lovely Michele and Warden celebrating two wonderful years together. Michele never truly connected with her wedding photos, and with more knowledge now of the style she loves, she took their anniversary as an opportunity to captures her and her husband in a way she felt better reflected them now. Their session was shot at Bonnieheath Estate Winery and Lavender Farm which was not only stunning but smelt so wonderful. Enjoy!
