One Year, One Story: Introducing The First Year Collective
They say the days are long, but the years are short—and nowhere is that more true than in your baby’s first twelve months. From the quiet, milky scent of a newborn to the wobbling first steps of a toddler, your baby will change more in this single year than at any other time in their life.
As an Oakville baby photographer, I’ve seen how quickly these milestones can slip by. Between the sleepless nights and the daily juggle, many moms find themselves at the 11-month mark realizing they never quite got around to booking those professional portraits.
That is why I created The First Year Collective.
It’s more than just three photo sessions; it’s a membership designed for the mama who wants to breathe and be present, knowing every tiny detail is being preserved in a timeless, cohesive story.
Why Join the Collective?
The mental load of motherhood is heavy enough. The Collective is designed to take "documenting the baby" off your to-do list for good.
Priority Booking: My calendar fills up fast, and I only take a limited number of sessions each month to ensure I can "serve and care" for my families well. As a Collective member, your dates are secured for the entire year.
Stress-Free Coordination: You won't have to worry about "packing a diaper bag and getting a newborn out the door to a studio" three separate times. I bring the session to you, in the comfort of your own home.
Cohesive Style: By working with the same photographer for the whole year, your gallery will have a consistent artistic feel—perfect for creating a beautiful display in your home.
The Milestones We Capture
The Newborn Session: Capturing the "newness" in your own sanctuary within those first few weeks.
The Sitter Session (6-8 Months): A celebration of the belly laughs, the toe-grabbing, and the sweet personality that is starting to shine.
The First Year Session: A lifestyle celebration of their first birthday, documenting the incredible bond you’ve built over 365 days.
The Tangible Legacy: Your Linen Bound Album
I believe your memories deserve to be held, not just hidden on a camera roll where they might be forgotten. The ultimate goal of the Collective is to create a physical heirloom for your family.
Every member of the Collective receives a $200 Print Credit specifically for our 10x10 Linen Bound Album. At the end of the year, we will curate the best moments from all three sessions into one stunning volume that tells the full story of your baby’s beginning.
Investment & Payment
The Collective offers a significant savings compared to booking individual sessions, and I offer a simple payment plan to make the investment manageable:
Total Value: $1,450
Collective Membership: $1,250
Payment Plan: $250 Retainer + $300 due at each of the three sessions.
Bonus: You can add a maternity session to your Collective for a preferred rate of $350 (a $100 savings).
